B-24 Liberator with landing gear

Postby PatrickRomero » Sat May 30, 2009 6:44 pm

Are there any models of the B-24 Liberator on FMS that have landing gear? If there are, I have not found any yet, so any links to an FMS model of the B-24 liberator with landing gear? thanks for your time in giving an honest answer.

George had a lot of FMS 2.7 airplanes too numerous to mention in a forum post. I'll see if I can put up a page of his models for posterity. They were hosted on Lego's site a long while ago but were lost when someone hacked his web site.

You can find many classics by Georg Gerdes here: . But they're all for the old flight model 2.7, updating some to 2.85 should be rewarding.

they all look very neat, even if some of them need to be updated, although one time I tried to update the X-15, with disastrous results; I shall try again, however, to see if I can get it right.

OK, since the other Georg Gerdes FMS page was questionable and not complete, I have started working on my .

I have 126 of Georg's models and have them and the previews all up on the web site. Give me some time to finish the html coding.

umc2 v1.3

Postby Eagle 3 » Sat Jun 06, 2009 10:02 pm

Thanks treehugger,

I had already discovered umc2 in Zealots forum.
It crashes ever time I try to load any files. Not just .x
I am using XP sp3 on a Thinkpad z60m.

I will try the version on this forum. hope it works. Found a referece to another program on a Japanese website that claims to open .x but link is bad

I have been able to put a set of Pitts wings on a CE with Meteseq but I am having the darnedest time mapping textures.
Have downloaded version 2.40 thru 2.49 including LE 23b and LE2.49
I can not seem to get the mapping panel with the "select faces" and"OK"button or the "realtime" checkbox. I only get the one without.
Are there older versions out there with this functionality? How do I complete the process.
Thanks,Eagle 3

On MetaLE, make sure to click off the "Basic mode" tag under the [File] menu. Otherwise, you have Basic, not advanced features.

those models on your Georg Gerdes page look incredible so far. I wonder where the B-36 came from? was it one that Georg Gerdes made, or is it the one that you helped me make? I don't care who made it as long as it is available to those who want to download it. I think that I might have a look at it and check it out.
