making the pic interface is easy

i would like to give you some hints to make pic interface without troubles

1. download ic-prog at
2. put all the necessary files from download section in one directory unzip them an start exe file (as described there)
3. ic-prog works fine with w98 and even with w2000, tested on a laptop too. use delay of 5 ore above in options menue (hardware), on w2000 use w2000/nt api.
4. JDM programmer hardware as described in FMS doc subdirectory works with ic-prog (tested an veryfied with PIC508 (509) and PIC 16F84.
5. disable the CP (code protection) bit in configuration word, otherwise you get problems with verifying and readig the programmed code (reading gets only 0000h on any adress of PIC).
6. give me some more hints or ask me if you have still problems with making pic interface.
