My experience with smartPropos and FMS. Troubleshoot.

Postby plane2007 » Sat Apr 07, 2007 10:13 am

I tried using smartpropos and FMS to use my JR transmitter on my computer. I tried using a 3.5mm mono jack as stated in the website but what happens is that the calibration jumps all over the place.

In the end, what works was just the normal 3.5 mm stereo extension jack plugged into the LINE-In of my mobo soundcard. After calibration, works perfectly well.

Hope my experience will help those who are having problems with their Smartpropos software.

Interesting. Would you like to post here the stereo jack set up. Also, the exact transmitter model could also help others.
Thank you

My transmitter is JR Max-66.
Used a normal 3.5mm stereo jack (easily available from any shop) and connected it to my mobo Line-IN slot. Have to connect to Line-In, can't work with Mic.
Then followed the setup for Smartpropos, calibrated it. Then it worked.
That is all there is to it.

I didnt soldier any parts at all. The 3.5mm stereo jack was bought from a shop. It is an extension jack for speakers.
