Here's a bigger list. He just loaded more today.
They're in SKYBOX already..so all you have to do is
convert the images to .BMP files for them to work in FMS.
As he stated... as I stated.
24bit .bmp files
I say it again....24 bit .bmp files.
http://www.szenerien.de/HELI-X-Szenerien/
To get Heli-X sceneries to project properly (not reverse) for FMS.
FLIP ALL the skybox images HORIZONTALLY (I use artweaver).
Then rename the : _left as _right
rename the : _right as _left.
Rotating them clockwise or counter clockwise won't change it..you must flip the horizon.
Heck you can even pull of the skyboxes out of Heli-X...or
Prefight..or Cleaview's.lol
Obviousely...the Preflight and Clearveiw owners are going
to use these sceneries in their sims also.
Here's more of his sceneries made for Reflex, but you can convert them
to FMS easily...and it'll save you the trouble of serching for them from
RC-sim
http://www.szenerien.de/ReflexXTR-Szenerien/index.htm
The reflex's are missing 1000 pixels at the bottom.
To make up for that missing portion so you won't have a white circle,
you can do this. .....
Resize the pano to 8160x1036. Invert it then save it.
Use PaintStar...clip and paste option. Paste the little strip to
the bottom of the original pano...before loading it into the converter.
You'll get what some people call "little planets" on the bottom panel.
Like the Dobl scenery.
example
WTF ????
pictures are pictures.lol
They work just fine in Vista...it'll take more MB thou.
From jpg files to .bmp files , it's somewhere in between 70-90mb
per sceneries @ 2048x2048.
That's why i only make mine in FMS @ 1024x1024 for my amusement.lol
It's around 20mb per scenery.
Or if your vedio card is not powerful enough..you simply just need
to resize them donw to 1024x1024
It's okay with a complete Equirectangular (360x180 panorama)..
This way you can click ZOOM OUT a couple of clicks without seeing
a circle..but you can map in any texture to cover that up, if your bore.
Here's more for your amusement..or collection
if you have a cube the sphere.lol

Here's a bigger collection for those rainy days
http://www.flickr.com/groups/equirectangular/pool/
Incase you're lazy or you don't have them yet.lmao
They' re all made up for ya..just drag them out .
http://www.mediafire.com/myfiles.php
You can also do these numbers to obtain better resolutions by
editing the .scn file.
you can go up as high as 4096
To use other sceneries or skyboxes. I just make one master .scn
file and zip it. Then (copy it) drag out it into a new scnery folder
with new skybox images. Then assign the images name accordingly.
you have to makesure the names assigned to the images match exactly
of what's in a .scn file. Then just rename the .scn file after you're done.
name your scene BOOOYA....fms will still run it.lol
Just keep each scenery seperated in a folder...don't extract them
into FMS main landscape without it being in a folder. If so..that's why
you have to assign different names to files all the time.
A folder acts as a partition.
notice...i just use a numbering system....0 to 5.
This will minimize mistakes...Caps, typoes...etc.
Plus i can easily rotate the panels (box)around by chaning those numbers. 0 thur 3 are for the sides...4 is the sky(top) 5 is ground(bottom)
If for some reason your model ends up on the wrong side of the field.lol
Do this...
By giving the first number a negative sign ...this will put the model
behind me and facing the opposite direction.
You might notice some the Heli-X sceneries, the runway images are assigned as _back.
You can rotate(shuffle) the skybox (images) or move the model.
You'll also notice in Heli-X the images are backwards.
You can see it on the Bottom panel ...the aurther's name is backwards..
all you do is flip the horizontal after you water mark your name
before converting the equrectangular into a skybox..
How dose that effects how some scenery in FMS ?
Lots..it'll confuse ya or you might have a rough time
trying to align your model in some scenery....
For a heli it's not that big of a deal..and Heli-x has a quick
model posistion button.lol
In FMS..you have to it manually in the .scn file..
or flip the images horizantally, or/and rotate them accordingly.
Notice..if you read the comments of the Helix main model.
It's just the GHP from FMS....but it's backwards...notice the
muffler is on the opposite side...but you can easily switch out
the skin of Helix model to the original photo .bmp of the GHP...
Some people complains that the Helix don't look good or photolistic
Panorama gets formate in veriouse ways for veriouse apllications.
this is what looks like when i converted a skybox from one of the
Helix scenery to veriouse types.
I hope this helps better in understanding..virtual tour cam with
a 3D mouse.lol
Here's is what I'm saying about rotating the images or skybox.
I hope this veiw gives you a better perspective...incase you need to
set up the skybox with runway for Airplane models.
This is what an incomplete pano will looks like (reflex's. Aerofly's).
You need to add 1000 pixel to the bottom of the pano. Therefore
the white circle. You'll notice some of Helix's scenery has the
same circle also.
In FMS..you have to do it manaully in the scene folder.
This first image..the runway is not aligned . The image that is at
the middle of the cross..is the front...I assigned in my .scn file as 1.
To correct it..just rotate the box...by reassign the images (shuffle them)
Only for the side images.
Notice how the sun glair (top) image gets rotated also.
Use a paint software to roate the top and bottom.
This image illustrate how the runway is properly aligned
This is what I'm saying about how things are in reverse between
FMS and Helix...so if you just do a cross over without fliping images
horizontally..this is what you'll notice.
i got photo .bmp (skin) for one of my helix..lol
fms
heli-X
Here's the same scenery at 1024x1024...what a shame..lol
The photographer with throgh the trouble on making the original
pano at 16000x8000.lol It's also an Aerofly scenery.
Too many scneries to be making them at 100mb a pop.lol
TRUN OFF SMOOTH texture in the graphic option..and the FOG of course.
