Need Help Frame rate and model rpm jump way up

I run FMS 2.8.5 for a while on win2000 SP4, start and stop the software several times over several days. Then start it and the models idle very fast and the frame rate goes from 60 to as much as 140. I have reloaded 2.8.5 in the past and fixed the problem. This last time it did not correct the problem. If the frame rate was not so high I would blame my DX5E transmitter. My Esky simulator does the same thing. Can anyone help?

If FMS is not crashing, ignore the frame rate and just fly...
