Honeybee CP3 Pre Flight Suicide. WHY!

Does anyone know why this copter, after responding to throttle and swash plate comands acurately for two minutes, would sudenly go to full throttle on its own? The swash was making moves by itself and i had no control whatsoever. Then the gyro and reciever module went up in smoke! I never got to fly the little drone. With 2.4ghz interfearance should not have been an issue.I had to throw a blanket on it to stop the rotors so i could pull the battery plug.

The most likely culprit is the main rotor motor. It was probably faulty and overheated, damaging its insulation and causing the motor controller MOS FET to overload and burn up.

I have designed, built and flown many different R/C receivers and motor controllers. The electronic components very rarely fail under normal conditions. It is the mechanical parts that usually cause the problems.
