I've installed FMS 2.0 Beta 7 on two Win 8 Developer Preview systems, and it works fine.
Both systems needed the D3DRM.DLL module. I put it in the FMS program folder.
One system has an NVIDIA 8400GS graphics board, which required using the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft per the post "FMS Mod for Win Vista & 7". FMS runs perfectly on this system, but the display frame rate is slow - feels like about 15 fps.
The other system uses an integrated graphics processor, and didn't need anything else. This one runs over 100 frames per second.
That FMS continues to be functional through so many OS versions is a testament to good programming!
