FMS Cable by Matt not seeing FUTABA 8UAF Radio

I received the Cable for my Hitec/Futaba Radio (From Matt Clement) ... It works fine with my
Futaba 4x Flash Radio but is unable to see the Futaba Radio. Any suggestions ? When I connect the cable to the Futaba Radio, it turns on the radio and makes a beep even though the power switch is off on the radio ..

Is it in PPM mode ? PCM doesn't work.
