First I want to thank you for a great r/c simulator, it is in my opinion much better than RealFlight, mainly because it is free, but also for the amount of planes and Helis that are availble for it.
Well I run into a problem when making landscapes for FMS. The first problem is that I don't know what scale FMS is in. Example, how many pixels is 1 meter?
I am trying to make a copy of our clubs little airfield and I really don't need such a big area to fly in. What I basically would like to do is to use 4 textures (each 512 x 512, or bigger!) for the ground. Then for a nice look I assume it would have to be viewed from an higher altitude for it to appear better, meaning everyhting would have to be scaled up. Is this possible? Now it looks so blocky when you see the ground so zoomed in, I hope you know what I mean!
Another question is, how do I make a platform, like a table that I can practice landings on with a helicopter? I have tried making a small hill, but that doesnt work well, I really would like to be able to create a table about 1 meter high.
Btw, my graphics card is a nVidia geforce 32mb, so there is lots of room for textures!
