had to install dx9 to play a new demo game and now fms has rendering problems of the ground,i tried running dx8 install setup and it won't revert my system(windows98) back to dx8!,
i'm stuck at dx9b!, anyone solve this problem, what do i have to remove to reinstall dx(version8)<any help appreciated!
dx9b installed and have problems now - anyone know how i can go back to dx8?

Hi !
You can't go back to dx 8 if you have a newer version of directx (9.0b in your case).
If you have made a ghost of your hard disk, restore it else you have to format hdd if you want to go back to dx 8.
Try to upgrade your video drivers and do a windows update to see if a needed update is not missing.
