I like it but having a Slo V myself I have to add that your model is lacking some power. The Slo V will climb better in real life and is a bit faster flying. Very similar in speed to your Slow Stick model.

Rat1,

Try the new .par file, others have said the same so I increased the cell count and added 5 degrees more elevator travel.

What prop number did you use in the model? the stock is 1147 and mine performs very well with that and the 7 cell 8.4V 600 mAh Ni-MH battery that is suggested as an upgrade by ParkZone I have since switched to a 1180 GWS prop with even better results. With the stock prop I could do very nice even loops. I am not sure of the gear ratio of the plane off hand as I have not tried to figure it out. I know mine will fly in the 15+ mph range with the 7 cell pack.I have even had it inverted a couple times and the real plane will hold inverted flight a little easier then the sim model.

As far as the file upgrade I clicked on the link and got a bunch of text. How do I replace this into the model file? Or should I just delete the Slo V model all together and dl it again from your site?

Rat1,

You can either download the zip again or use your mouse and right click on the link which brings up a list of options and one is to "Save Target As". Just save the file to the \Program Files\FMS\Model directory or wherever you keep your FMS model files.

Latest file loops easily, climbs great and can hold inverted with full down stick.

Thanks for adding the model!

I just got a Slo-V yesterday and am trying to look into FMS as a way to help learn. Now I need to wade my way through the forums and documentation to figure out this "controller" stuff...

Rat1, what do you use for your input with this program?

..Being a newbie is a pain, but it sure if fun...

What are you using to control the planes. I am using the axis pad controller from walmart at this time and the

click: controls-joystick interface-mapping calibration

from top to bottom

rudder 1
elevator 3
aileron 4
throttle 2

This works good for most of the planes. One the twin eingine jets it is easier to run the rudder on 4 and mark the aileron as 1. aileron control is not needed for these planes as the onse I have downloaded are rudder control only.

Make sure to calibrate you controls via the directions.
