New Model - AirForce One

UpDate: Made Plane a little more sluggish, as per Swedish Mike's suggestion, more challenging to fly now.
Also: made a second paint sceme, of a previous AirForce One.

Boeing 747 200d

VC-25A CallSign SAM28000
VC-137C CallSign SAM26000

I was watching the History Channel again, last night(2-16-05),
and they had presidential aircraft on...

Hello Scarz,

well, it's hard to explain - I'm not a master Par-file maker myself. :laugh: But since the 747 is a pretty big aircraft I expect it to "feel" heavy when i fly it. I would also expect a 747 to react more slowly when I manouver - As it it now, it behaves like a aerobatic. :;):

One thing with the Par that I fixed myself was that it had no stearing on the nose wheel. I was a bit surprised when the plane turned hard to the right hand side and smashed into the club house. :p

the front wheel can be made to turn? ill have to figure out how to do that...

you said you fixed the front wheel so it would steer? can you tell me how to do that?

Hi Scarz!

In the case of the 747 the steerable nosewheel looks something like this:

1500 //spring constant [N/m]
13 //Viscosity [N*s/m]
200 //breaking load [N]
0 1 0 //ŽÔ޲ƒxƒNƒgƒ‹ [X,Y,Z]
0.2 //coefficient of friction trace direction
0.7 //coeff. of fric. transverse direction
1 //channel
10 //Maximum Angle [deg]


You had the channel (1) correct but you left out how much the wheel would turn - In this case 10 degrees. Note: if it was a tailwheel, the value would be negative (-10 degees) othervise the plane would turn in the wrong direction.
