USING FUTUBA 7CAP WITH USB - DOES THE RADIO TRANSMIT TO AIR

Hello,
Can anybody tell me if my futuba 7cap that i want to use with a usb conected to the trainer port. Transmits signal in to air, and if you can avvoid this in any way (removing cristal or any other way???)

It will probably be transmitting though it actually depends on precisely how the connection is wired. The easiest way to ensure it's not transmitting is to remove the crystal. That also makes the battery last much longer.

I have the 6exa controller and I remove the crystal .

I do not know if Futaba have changed this on the 7 or the new 6EXA, but the RF can not be disabled from the trainer socket, but the 9 can if the plug is wired correctly.
