Well, a PIC is a little microprocessor from Microchip. In this case, the interface is made with such a processor. According to the discribtion of the maker of the interface, it prevents the "glitches" wich are common by the 'normal' serial interface

This interface contains microcontroller, that makes all time-critical tasks (measuring of TX signal parameters). All data is transfered then via serial channel (COM-port).
That allow easy support of such interface-cable under any OS. For example, FMS has no "simple cable" drivers for Win2000, but it supports PIC-cable with no problems.

Can I connect my Hitec Focus 4 to FSM with the PIC serial Interface?. I don´t know if my Hitec Focus 4 is a PPM radio transmitter. I think not.
