First thing i did was throw away the xmitter, (non proportional junk) ripped out the so called servo.. again non proportional, and the rx module and after cutting off a few wires scrapped that too,
Then i took the 35mhz radio gear out of my electric helecopter, and put that in the plane, using a boats speed controller i had, set up to give me full stick forwards and no reverse unless i use the throttle trim... not sure i want to try flying backwards just yet
I added the extra controll wire and made the elevator work, it wascliped in the level position, but the plane was made to have a working elevator,
So i now have a fully proportional small 3 chanel lecky plane that i hope to learn on for a bit when the weathers too nice to be sat inside on fms.
But i'd like to play with the model i have on fms, but i can't seem to find a cessna 120, is there anything similar? small light low powered plane, stable apparantly (not flown mine yet so i dunno, destructions say it is... well see) i want one thats 3 chanel, not sure about modifying the par or what ever file to turn off the aelerons.
I want to get used to flying with 3 chanels... i've peen using a cessna 182 model for a few days on fms, and i tend to do almost all the manouvers without touching the rudder, never flown anything before in my life, the helecopter spends more time winding it's self around plants than flying, and that's totaly different to a plane anyway.
