Park Zone Typhoon

Postby fireman7679 » Thu Apr 06, 2006 2:10 am

Put 10 flights on my Ty today! Yeah! It's a blast to fly, kinda hard to land. I'm used to dead stick landings on pusher type parkflyers, but I managed to get by landing on pavement at 1/8 throttle. I'll have to modify the .par file for FMS, my Ty just doesn't roll that fast. Or have that much power (maybe it will when my 11.1 V Lipo arrive!!!) Otherwise thanks for the awesome FMS model. It's pretty close to right on!

Keep that FMS model updated.. theres also two modes for the xmitter for the typhoon, which does short and long throws for the servos. "out of the box", if you set your transmitter to do the longer throws, you'll strip your servos. I've gotten the gears, but havnt put them in yet. Might just put in some HiTec 81MGs.

But I only got 1 flight out of the thing before the servos just didnt do anything but grind. So if this model needs to be updated to reflect how it really flies, please post here.
Also, on my FMS (8.5) putting throttle all the way to low kills the motor, and I have to re-initialize. I notice this on some other models. Maybe a calibration issue? I'm using a focus4 with some joystick port cable I got from ebay.. sorry, not much in the details department.

The FMS model is setup with either a fueled or electric motor. The fueled will shut off and not restart as it should. Change the .par to be an electric motor and it will keep running.

Any updated Parkzone typhoon 3d fms models out there? If not what info do I enter in the par editor to make this previous typhoon 3d model an electric one? When I click the insert new motor option the parameters are incorrect.

well i figured that the one i had was VERY inaccurate in terms of design, power, flight attitude, etc... i have created a new one!
One that is VERY accurate, including the Typhoon's bricklike landing attitude.

HOWEVER... i have not been able to get the BMP file to map in FMS. It shows in MetasequoiaLE2.1 and it shows in ParEdit, but just not in FMS. GGunners, help? I emailed you with the file ZIP.

liebestraume95,

Your .bmp image map file was 600x600. All the tutorials mention 256x256, 512x512 and 1024x1024. That might be the issue. I also knock down my .bmp files to 256 color or 8-bits to save space. They usually look OK.

found a site

Postby liebestraume95 » Sat Nov 25, 2006 8:31 pm

Hello everyone,
I finally found a site to post my models on.
liebestraume95@googlepages.com
I cleared up the BMP and fixed the par some more.
There is also a Stryker F-27C on my site.
Have fun!

I'd sure like to get ahold of that model, too. And, I could see no way to download it. Maybe you could attach it as a zip file to an email? I'm desiring to do some realistic as possible Ty work on FMS, before I break the shiny new one sitting here patiently waiting.

Thanks in advance...
