Various Model Generation Issues

Hi,

I'm trying to make my first FMS model, a "SuperFlea" twin prop electric delta, and Dave Reap graciously allowed me to have his build files for the "Pibros", which is visually close, to get me started.

In Met LE I changed the angle of the delta shape, added motors and motor pylons, changed the fin shape and angle, colour, etc. Regenerated this with a complete set of new files names, but other than the new .x file all others are as the "Pibros", and in FMS (8.x) it appears OK, and of course flies like the Pibros did at this stage..........however:-

1. If after initialisation you do nothing and wait, it slowly keels backwards into the ground (I have noticed a fair number of other models do this, but have no idea why!!)

2. Once flown around, if dived, it will go straight through the "ground" and carry on flying down and back up if steered.

I'd like to know how to make an "animated" prop disk, too....................

Advice from those what knows, please?????

The ol' backside sinking into the tarmac occurs when you run a 7 par file in alpha 8.5. I edit/convert the 7 par to 8 with ParEdit which can be downloaded from here

Look for FMS 2.8 plane field .par editor

You need to re-set quite a few parameters (like points, wheels, CG) though which will be a bit daunting to begin with.

Try searching and reading for tips.

I assume this means the originators have not made a "run through" conversion program...Hey Ho...I'll have a play.........

yup youll need to set your collision points, and landing gear points

fms, doesnt support animated .x for animated props
