E Sky Problems

I downloaded the E Sky onto my computer, but when I opened it my remote control will not work. It has no throttle, etc... What should I do

No controls

I have this problem quite often, even after a successful run.
Thus far it has always corrected itself when I pull out the USB plug, wait a second or two, then reinsert. If you check controls/joystick/resources you should see the result.
Also, its fussy about which USB port I use. I have several, some of them won't operate FMS at all.
