How is .par Converter Used?

1) Double click on the ParConv.exe file to run it.
2) Load up the version 7 .par file using <File> <Open>
3) Click the convert button []> or select <Calc> <Beta_7 -> Alpha_8 (R)>
4) <File> <Save>

Your new modelname.par file is now Alpha8. A backup of your old .par is under modelname.pa7.

It is really much easier to copy an existing Alpha8 .par file from a model that fly's closely to yours and then edit it using the ParEdit.exe file from Mr. Masuoka. I worked a lot more with Mr. Masuoka getting that program right and spent very little time on the conversion program. I'm not even sure it works OK or not.
