Y connection to parallel port? - printer and interface together

Wondering if there is a way of having both the printer and the interface cable connected to the PC since I do have only one parallel port presently connected to the printer?

Another suggestion is a printer switch.
Basicely these are just a box with one input that you connect to the computer paraller port and two outputs that you connect to your printers.

The manual types should be cheap.
Try a used computer store.
