Locating A Model In The Landscape

I use FMS to fly E-Gliders which have no landing gear. As a result, they must be hand launched.

FMS however defaults the location & direction of the model so that it is some times pointed directly at a fixed object. In the World landscape for instance, the model is hand launched directly into the front of the shed next to the runway. Obviously this is not a desirable direction for the launch.

My question: Is there a way to change the location &/or hand launch direction of the model? If so, how?
