I've tried the DOS version of FMS and I'm very fond of it.

As Michael Moeller told me, the simulation engine is nearly the same as in the Win Version, so the models should fly as realistic as well.
So in principle, this is a workaround for all of us poor guys, who have to live with WinNT, Win2k, XP or Linux-Boxes but want to fly with our own Transmitter via parallel Interface:
Create yourself a bootable Floppy (availiable from FMS-Download) and fly with whichever PC you like

I even tried my Pentium 133 with 2D Grafics and can fly around pretty well :0
Please join me in encouraging the authors of FMS to keep the DOS version of FMS up to date!
Thanks, Andreas
