Helicopters do not work. - Planes are fine, helis do not calibrate

What am I missing? I can only get the first four channels to calibrate. No matter which channel number I select, I get response only in channels (1) through (4). So, planes are fine, helis do not work at all.

What interface are you using ? Are you sure it supports more than 4 channels ?

I am using a futaba tx with a cable into my parrallel port. How can I determine how many chanells it will support?

Set your channels 5 -8 to the same numbers as the first 4
For instance I have mine set to:

Rudder 4
Elevator 2
(Right stick)
Aileron 1
Throttle 3
(Left stick)
(These are AIRCRAFT settings)

Tail 4
Nick 2
(Right stick)
Roll 1
Pitch 3
(Left stick)
(These are HELICOPTER settings)

Note that only the first 4 blue columns actually move up and down when calibrating. Don't worry about it!

Ticking exp (exponential) can help a LOT with helicopter flying <g>

WOW! It really works. Thanks for providing me with sufficient detail to get my helis up and flying...errrr, crashing mostly.
FMS is a great tool, and this forum is a great resource.

I had same problem. Now I can continue my crash course into Heli flying. Does seem to be like bike riding. You fall off for a long time then suddenly you don't. Thanks
