Hi all,
I guess my eyes are about as glazed over as the icon character I've picked. I have a JR PROPO X-347 TX that I am trying to get functioning with FMS. I must say with what little interaction I've had via the keyboard, hats off to the authors, so far. Here is where I am at... I am using Windows XP Professional. I have built Mike Robert’s FMS Serial Port Circuit which was "Modified for JR Transmitters". I have disabled PCM mode via the controller’s computer and enabled PPM, and still nothing... NO MOVING BARS!!! I have been over the circuit over a dozen times; I have swapped the diode’s cathode direction once. I used Mike Robert's JR troubleshooting guide on his website. I am getting an 11.73v w/o the TX and a 9.25v with the TX connected! Transmitter test numbers are: a fluctuating -.162mV DC Test (which will go positive depending on how I place my test leads) and .226V AC test. I am using the NTE123AP for the BC547, NTE159 for the BC557, and a NTE519 for the 1N4148 diode. Resistors 1/8 watt and are:
R1 = 10k
R2 = 470k
R3 = 22k
R4 = 22k
R5 = 5.6k
Is a Serial PICS interface even compatible with the JR X-347? Has anyone with an X347 had any success? If anyone has any insight please share your experience with me. I'm almost at the point of buying ( :angry: gasp! :angry: ) a commercial package!!
Thanks in advance...
