JR parallel-port interface???

I have always heard about Futaba parallel-port interface, but not for JR. Does it not work with JR radio?

A parallel-port interface is easier to build than the PIC interface. At lease it doesn't require any transistors or resistors.

I am new to FMS and I wanted to build my own JR interface. Anyone?

JR radios have a very low signal voltage which will not work with the very simple interfaces. You'll need at least a transistor.

Thanks for the note. May I know what type of interface will work with JR? Which is the easiest one to build? And where can I find the circuit diagram?

The only ones I've tried have been serial interfaces. Have look on Mike Roberts site for an example.

There's one I modified ages ago on but Mike's is simpler.

I'm sure there are plenty of others around.

I saw a parallel port JR connection on ebay for 20 bucks buy it now. I decided not to get it and got the USB connector from www.rc-electronics.co.uk/index.htm , I like USB better, you can use it for games and stuff, and it doesn't interfere with your printer.
