Parallelport interface - No go on XP

Have just got laptop running XP and cannot get parallel int. to work. No serial ports ,so no go there.Two USB but try this first.
Please help

Correct, the parallel port i/f will not work on XP. Only PIC serial, joystick or USB interfaces work. USB interfaces are tricky to build but can be purchased for reasonable prices e.g.

Hey, i just found something that might be worth the try. Some program named SmartPropo should make it possible too use your soundcard as line-in for the ppm-signal from your Tx. You can find it here:
. It should also work with win2k and xp. Take a look at 'other interfaces' in this forum.
