JLINE QUATRO (By JR Remote Control) - Serial Interface for JLINE

I have a 4 channel transmitter (JLINE Quatro) with a trainer connection. I build the interface as described, but can not get it to work ("No signal" indicated on Transmitter setup in FMS.) I have tried the Adress and IRQ as set for COM1 on Windows Control Panel setup. But had no luck. Could someone please help me to get this operated?. What should the signal out of the 9-PIN D-Type connector look like? What should the signal from the Transmitter connector look like? Is there any special settings required on the Serial port setup?

I don't know that transmitter but if it is compatible with the standard JR 3.5mm jack trainer output then exactly which serial interface have you built ?

I tried several which worked with Futaba/Hitec but not with JR transmitters. I have a modified version at which works with all the JR Txs I've met. It needed an additional transistor to amplify and capacitively couple the signal in because the JR trainer signal floats WRT ground which messes up the normal circuits.

Steve, THANKYOU VERY MUCH. The circuit you proposed worked like a charm!!!!!!!!!!!!! No do you know anyone who can write us a WINDOWS DRIVER to use this same setup for eg. FS2000?
