the radio as a joystick via serial?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any way to use the radio connected to the sertial port as a common joystick.

Does any one know any way to tell windows that the radio on the serial port is a common 4 axes joystick?

I would like to use my radio as a controller for other games as well. Of course it will have to run on win9x.

Have a look on my There are a couple of links to ready-build interfaces, as well as circuits if you want to construct the interface yourself.

From your requirements, I will suggest you to go for the joystick interface if you want to use it for other software as well.

I have been visiting your page since I discovered FMS and already tried the pic interface. Your Site is very good and has usefull information.
I am thinking about a software solution. Something that just reads the pulses and take the information from it. That is what the IRQ interface does.
I also foud a site showing a very inteligent solution

I regret not been able to help them developing the program.
Any other information will be very aporeciated.
