Model Download

I am trying to find a Mustang P-51. I downloaded one from the "http://rcp.cside.tv/Rc_hp2/fms/Metasequoia_e.htm" site.
I am not sure what I have actually downloaded, as I am unable to open the plane in FMS. Have I actually downloaded a plane or just the plans of a plane? Do I need to create the model myself or am I able to find a plane that I can fly in FMS?
I would really appreciate any help.

You have probably downloaded a zip file. You must open this with a program called winzip (or another that will extract these file types). Then put all of the files that came out at the other end into your FMS\MODEL\ directory. You may then open it in FMS as you would normally open them.

If the file is corrupt then try the P51 at my site (made by James G) using the process described above.

when you download a plane or landform it saves in its own folder. find the file of the mustang and copy all the files in the folder. then go where your FMS archieves are. open the folder models. then paste the files of the mustang.

Thanks both trvo & Sturdy Birdy 10. It worked and now I'm flying all the Warbirds I can get my hands on. Do you know if you can get any models with gear that retracts or is this not possible in FMS?
