If your master-trainer connector looks the same as the five-pin connector on the back side of my Sanwa RD6000 then you will have no problems with a serial-interface as shown on the site:
[url=http://www.freebox.com/rasmus-modellflyg/fms/manual/handbok.html#Seriell
It´s]http://www.freebox.com/rasmus-....
It´s[/url] a swedish "offspring FMS-site" and the serial-interface shown on the picture uses a 3,3 kohm and three 5,6 kohm resistors, two transistors, one male five-pin connector for the Sanwa RD6000 controller and a female 9-pin connector for the computer com-port.
The Sanwa master-trainer connector is shown on the same site (a link to a description of the Sanwa connector) and uses pin nr 2 = ground and pin nr 3 = Signals.
I had no problem what-so-ever connecting my Sanwa RD6000 into the serial-interface to the computer com-port. I used a computer with a 333MHz Athlon processor and Win98 operative system.
My advise to you is : Go ahead and build the interface. Don´t expect any trouble, it´s actually a piece of cake to make it work! Enjoy...
