i have a Futaba skysport4 transmitter....i would like to know if it can be used to control the models airplanes in FMS....and if it can i would like to know everything i need to have to make it work.

I have been using a Futaba Skysport 4 with a serial PIC lead for months now, and have had no problems at all on my Windows ME.

Great! Arvee with the PIC i have an xp will it work with that? anyway what all did you use to get the skysport 4 to work with your computer? and were did you get it? Thanks to both of you!

Hi WB22.

I am using the serial PIC from RC ELECTRONICS; link on "Links" page. I am not an expert on such things, but I believe that the XP needs a USB connecting lead.

Helihobby.com sells complete FMS simulator packages for Win 9x, ME, 2000 & XP. The XP package comes with a cable connection for USB port and the accompanying CD supposedly includes the required drivers. However, when I asked their tech support if the XP package was compatible with the Futaba Skyport4 Tx, the reply was, "It should be. But I would encourage you to call the FMS support techs for indepth assistance." So, can FMS or anyone in this forum corroborate that the Helihobby package will work with a Futaba Skyport4?
