MetaseqLE - Info for other frustrated users!

Newbie Alert!

I have been looking into using Metasequoia for creating a new FMS model, and have investigated the net widely for tutorials etc. Everything points to being able to use MS to export an .x file, but the LE version on the website currently just will not let you do anything but save as an .mqo file.

Now I have discovered that it is an older version that will allow saving as .x! (V2.1).

If you cannot find this version (I found that someone on this forum hosts a website that has it ), a program called Cyberdelia will import an mqo file and export as .x.

And in case anyone wonders, I have even offered cash in an envelope to the developer of MS as a way of getting a version to save as .x!

My LE version saves just fine as .x.

That's Metasequoia LE version 2.1.

I think that is the FREEWARE version located

Well stone the crows! You're right. I checked a dozen times, but must have d/l the wrong version - could have sworn I'd got the LE version first time, but it wouldn't save - sorry for the bandwidth! ???

The newer versions have added features that make them desireable. But they are crippled in that they don't save in anything but the mqo format.
I keep both versions, the files made with later versions load fine in the LE edition , but use the LE version to save the files in other formats.

Well I started with the better version that you can only save as a mqo. file but then I got the LE version and tried to move the models that I created into it and they didnt keep any of the mapping or color, so I had to re-color them all. So I was wondering if anyone had a reason why it didnt keep the color.? ???
