Plane model loading error Ver 8

I have been downlaoding and trying various plane models and also landscapes. Some of the planes and some of the landscapes do not load and lock FMS up.

I am assuming that models made for ver 7 are not conpatable with version 8. If this is true how can you tell via zip file or download which version.

Is there a separate section for models for version 8. Any suggetions for links to models for version 8.

I am just starting with R/C Electric Flying. I am currently building a GWS Pico Tiger Moth.

I really am enjoying the FMS, the various planes and also scenery. I really hope that they are compatable or that someone will work on the conversion. I have seen some cool models and also neat looking landscapes.

The major change between Beta 7 and Alpha 8 is the .par file which is not compatible between the two versions. It's easy to tell the difference.

Beta7 .par starts with a number and is followed by 25 more numbers so the .par file is 26 lines long usually.

0 1:Type(-) Airplane:0 / LiteMoth 2001.10.17

Alpha8 .par starts with the line VERSION 1.0 and an INFO section. It is much longer and has a lot of parameters:

VERSION 1.0
INFO //Free Form Comment Area, does not change model

There are more models available right now for beta7, however, alpha8 FMS software has wind simulation that helps learning how to fly in the wind.

Most folks will tell you if the model is for alpha 8 or beta 7 by the download area like at
