Transmitter interface problems - HEEEELLLLLPPPPP

My transmitter interface worked just fine until we updated our OS to XP. So I downloaded the newest version of FMS and installed it and I am having the same problem. I can use a joystick but I don't want too. I want to use my transmitter. My Interface cord connects to the printer port. But when I go into the "controls" menu in FMS and click on "Analog contol" I go to move the curser to highlite either of the two "Paralelle port" choises, so that i can select the "Ressource" or "Mapping/Calibration" buttons, but the program won't highlite the buttons so I can click them. I have already tried just about everything you can imagine but hey, 4000 heads are better then one or two (mine and my dads).
I love this program. Any help would be much appriciated.

which transmitter interface are you using? I use the Ripmax interface (from Al's models) on both versions of FMS and XP. When I upgraded my OS I had to download a new version of the interface driver and instal that. If it helps I can email you a copy...

I'm just using my Transmitter, and a cord that connects it to the computer through the trainer port on the transmitter, and the printer port on the computer. I got it off ebay and I really don't know who made it.

The simple printer port interfaces do not work with the newer operating systems like Win XP.

If you look in the "Parallelport PPM Interface" forum (up the page a bit) you will see plenty of discussion of this. Look for a program called PPJoy which may well help you out.
