fms8 par JAVA script - need help to create this script

Sorry guys, forgot one question.

Does anybody know how we could make a on-line updata system for this database. Just a thing where others (with experience in par-making) can fill in their models. That way is is super easy to use their engines, polars and so.

I have no clue. But I think it must be possible. Sorry, I cannot place such a database on my own site. It will grow too large. The "Nest of Dragons"-site needs its place to expand too.

Just a question, maybe a stupid one, but how can I edit the exsisting PAR files with this database ?

sorry for late reply. Been away.

I don't know yet if this database will work that way. I don't know the capabilities yet of this database. remember, I am not a Access-expert.

One thing I can add already is the fact that this database will need to be rewriten in Virtual Basic. Reason: I now already have a large file (about 2Mb) and their is still a lot of work and their is almost no data in the lists. Bart, the expert in Access, told me that that is very usual in Access. So, the net-version of this database can be be in access. Too large. But, he told me that (nearly) all that is made in Access can be made in Virtual Basic. Mabe, not so nice looking. But working and ... with LESS size.

So, I will continue this work and search a friend or contact who is willing to translate to Virtual Basic. I just hope he understands my thinking out of the model in Access.

Vacation is nearly finished and their is still a lot of work to the program. I hope that I awill be able to finish it before school starts. Not sure if I will find the time when it starts. ???

many thanks for your reply and your offer for help. I will see if I can find the time to finish this Access-program. School will start next week and free time will get limited. I am a teacher and I am building a full scale Flying Flea glider during my spare hours at school. At home I have my family and my personal website to entertain. So ... I fear that the progress will be SLOW. But ... I still believe it will be a good program when finished. So I want to work on it if time permits. If I have problems I surely will contact you.

BTW... thanks for mentioning that those pictures take so much data size. i didn't know it was that much. It are small pictures, I thought. The next version will no longer have the pictures, I guess.

FYI, Mr. Masuoka, the original creator of the ParDesigner for FMS 2.7 .par files, has created an editor for FMS 2.8 .par files which is very nice with visual representations of the .par displayed with the 3D wireframe model. He also developed a .par7 to .par8 conversion helper.
