I just Found FMS like 1 week ago and think it is an awsome simulator..I'm just getting into R/C airplane and hope this helps me to go solo quicker than normal..I have been into R/C Nitro powered car and truck for around 3 yrs it is an awsome hobby.finally decided to gor in the air with my hobby..

I have recently just made my first plane for FMS called "White Trainer" available on my site.
i just need a little help with the Par file setups cause when the trainer i built leaves the ground on take of it shoot up on a pretty sharp climb angle..i need help try to fix the amount of climb this plane has..

Hiya,
By the look of your screenshot you have done a very nice job for your first plane. I haven't flown it yet because I have been having some trouble with FMS and my graphics card recently which means that FMS won't run until I get it sorted.

Nice work eclipsegsxr. The White Trainer flys well, but of course "crys out" for color. The colors appear in the .bmp file but not on the model; I'm no software or Metasequoia person for sure, but I'm sure you can add the coloring.
I did reduce the thrust (line 3) to 8, and increased the CLmin to -1.0 (to allow sustained inverted flight). I do the latter to most FMS models simply because I like inverted flight; not withstanding the fact that many of these models would not maintain inverted flight at all.
The reduced thrust will keep the model on the runway, but the "real" model might just fly the way your model did originally. Many models with "Clark Y" type airfoils will climb with full throttle, fly level at moderate throttle settings, and sink at lower settings.
I also replaced the .wav file with one from an electric model, since I fly electric only, and find the FMS IC .wav file annoying.
Aside from the above I made no other changes and await the coloring of the model.
Congratulations on a fine first FMS model, and by the way, on a fine website. I hope and expect to see more from you.

The color of the model will show up when the .x file is changed to point to the right location for the .bmp file.
Open the .x in NotePad
change:
..\\white trainer\\white trainer.bmp
to:
white trainer.bmp
This can be avoided by keeping all model parts in the Metasequoia LE model root directory.
Enjoy the color!

...was unable to find the referenced instruction in note pad (or word pad); is this only available in Metasequoia?. If so, then I'll have to wait for someone else to make the change.
